institutionalising the developement of democracy (and political structures)

"> Do we need a shared understanding of democracy as a society? > Would such an understanding help us work for peace and against polarization? > And how would we get there? We are convinced that political systems and structures themselves should be more consistently understood, managed, and, above all, continuously developed as common goods.  From this perspective, we want to discuss and explore the idea of institutionalizing the development of democracy and our constitution. In practice, we envision a new constitutional body for democracy development. Modeled on Rechnungshof and the Volksanwaltschaft, such a new institution could serve as an umbrella for ongoing, collaborative democracy development that is independent of political parties. This includes addressing the issues around the necessary digital public infrastructure. Through a short input, we love to share our first thoughts around the questions from above and the ideas for "renewing democracy every day as a society". Following the input, we are happy to deepen the questions and ideas with you in the ""democracy repair cafe"""
