DOVE hands on

with DOVE Online Video Editor. In the need of finding a new Playout System for DORFTV that was capable of playing archive files as well as live streams, easy to handle remote and based on Free Software we ended up in developing DOVE. DOVE is an API for creating and mixing gstreamer pipelines. It includes a a web based frontend to facilitate the daily work of DORFTV’s production team (and hopefully others) It’s heavily inspired by BRAVE, a prototype developed by BBC’s R&D, which unfortunately was abandoned in favor of internal systems.

Using DOVE Interested in using DOVE Online Video Editor for your own project(s)? In this workshop we go through the steps necessary to install and configure DOVE.

Improving DOVE there are some open tasks eg webrtc preview, improving Documentation, ... when there are people interested in working on the project, this workshop could be a starting point.
