Resistance as an art practice

How can we materialize the wave of resistance that we witness through our phones into daily practices of disobedience? How can protests, revolutions and uprisings be more than fluctuating trends in our feed? As Javaneh, our goal is to involve the diaspora in the political resistance against oppressive regimes such as the Islamic Republic and the Taliban. The protest on the streets in the Middle East and Central Asia is brought to us through the digital space in the form of photos, videos and hashtags. In this workshop, we want to discuss how digital trends can be taken up and materialized and thereby gain permanence and importance.
