Live Performance by Arnica Montana

In a sensitive play, guided by deep listening, focusing on sound for itself, Arnica Montana improvises and interacts with electronic modules which reply to her with unpredictability and high sensitiveness.
She musically delves into the limitations of her instrument, attentive to all its sounds and noise, with its unique timbre and breath, as a set of possibilities whose boundaries she explores, attempting to approach brilliance areas. She generates, modulates, filters, and superimposes oscillations she makes rub against each other, to look for textures, grains, and unexpected frequencies, resonances, halos, and beatings, emerging from the overlaid waves that interfere.

Through this slow and plain interplay, she creates and explores generative terrains, stochastic reliefs, places of unheard-of sounds, harsh and soft noises, abrasive and delicate at the same time. Over that background of almost static simplicity, in the silence of time and the breath of electricity, sonic symbioses light up with surprising exuberance, and finally, we come out from the trip with a sweet sensation of weightless fulfillment.
