What's a Watt?

What's a Watt? is a fun exploration of our energy consumption through a DIY game. Our own consumption of energy is presented through a comparison with a life-sized Tesla car battery. In this particular case, we chose an older model that has the capacity of 75kWh (75000Wh) and contains 4416 lithium battery cells.
The participants are given Watt-meters and asked to measure household appliances, such as a TV, a lamp, a microwave, a kettle, a laptop charging, and more. Once all of the appliances are measured and their energy consumption written down, the participants make cards that reflect the energy consumed by each device proportionally to the size and consumption of the Tesla battery. When all the cards are made the participants take turns in placing their cards on the battery in the attempt to fill it up.
